Box Facial Tissue Dimension Guide
Tissue Box Dimensions: Length, Width, Height, Sheet Size and Draw Count
Quick answer
Record a finished tissue carton with three dimensions and units, but do not compare the box alone. For an OEM facial tissue project, box dimensions should be reviewed together with tissue sheet size, draw count, fold or ply direction, dispensing opening and packing. TISVEN's current box references include several sizes; they are project options, not universal standard tissue box dimensions.

Start with the finished carton
Length, width and height are three separate box measurements
A tissue-box size should be written with all three finished-carton dimensions and units. Keep the same orientation when comparing a quotation, dieline, physical sample or finished carton. If the orientation is not obvious, attach a marked photo or drawing instead of relying on the numbers alone.
Length
One horizontal measurement of the finished carton. Keep the orientation consistent with the drawing, sample or quotation.
Record the value with units and show which finished side it describes.
Width
The second horizontal measurement of the finished carton, perpendicular to length.
Use the same orientation and units when comparing two suppliers or samples.
Height
The vertical measurement of the assembled carton from base to top.
Review height together with tissue stack, fold, draw count and the intended dispensing opening.
Current TISVEN references
Real project options are more useful than one assumed “standard” size
TISVEN currently lists several box facial tissue size references. These are project options for quotation and specification review; they are not presented as universal tissue-box standards.
REFERENCE 01

REFERENCE 02
20 × 11 × 4 cm
REFERENCE 03
21 × 11 × 5 cm
REFERENCE 04
21 × 11 × 7 cm
Confirm the measurement order, units and finished sample before using any reference size as a production requirement.

Keep the fields separate
Box dimensions are not the same as tissue sheet size
The tissue sheet is folded inside the carton, so an unfolded tissue measurement does not describe the finished box footprint or height. Current TISVEN box facial tissue references include tissue sizes of 180 × 155 mm or 180 × 175 mm and a draw-count range of 20–180 draws.
Those values still need to be reviewed as a combination. A draw count is not a box height, and a box height does not prove how many draws are inside. Tissue size, ply, fold, opening and packing all remain separate project fields.
- Tissue size
- 180 × 155 mm or 180 × 175 mm
- Draw count
- 20–180 draws
- Project rule
- Select the box size together with draw count, tissue size and packing.
Comparison sheet
Compare each specification field for what it actually tells you
The common mistake is not a wrong number; it is using one field as a substitute for another. Keep carton, tissue and packing measurements separate before comparing two offers.
Common comparison mistakes
Four ways tissue-box dimensions get misread
Treating one 'standard' size as universal
Rectangular, square and other facial-tissue cartons vary by brand and project. Use the actual finished dimensions instead of assuming one global standard.
Using box dimensions as tissue dimensions
The tissue sheet is folded inside the carton. Its unfolded sheet size is a separate specification field.
Assuming a taller box automatically means more draws
Draw count must be reviewed with tissue size, ply, fold and the finished carton. Height alone does not confirm the amount of tissue inside.
Comparing a dieline with a finished carton as if they were the same measurement
Record whether a value comes from the flat packaging artwork or the assembled finished box so the comparison stays clear.
OEM buyer checklist
What to confirm before requesting a box facial tissue quote
Start with the finished box dimensions, then keep tissue, opening and packing fields separate. If you only have an existing retail sample, send photos and mark which features should be matched or changed.
- 01Finished box dimensions in one consistent order with units
- 02Box format or a clear reference photo/sample
- 03Tissue sheet size
- 04Draw count
- 05Ply and fold direction if known
- 06Dispensing opening or opening reference
- 07Artwork or dieline status
- 08Inner packing and outer-carton configuration
- 09Quantity range and target market
Quote preparation

Fill in the values you know and leave the rest open for review. A blank field is better than turning an assumption into a production specification.

Preparing a box tissue specification?
Send the finished box size and the tissue fields separately.
Share the box dimensions, tissue sheet size, draw count, opening reference, artwork status, packing direction and any existing sample. TISVEN can review the combination before quotation or sample planning.
